At the Broyhill Equestrian Preserve, your horse comes first.
Broyhill Equestrian Preserve will offer full board in our new Schaefer Boarding Barn scheduled to open in May 2014. All stalls are 12 X 12, and bedded with generous amounts of fresh pine shavings. Stalls and water buckets are cleaned daily while your horse is enjoying his or her turn-out time.
Your horse is turned out either during the day or at night. We have almost 10 acres of pasture for romping or grazing. Fencing is wooden split-rail, reinforced by electric webbing.
Your horse is fed twice daily under the supervision of our barn manager, more often if medically required. Our feeding program is customized for each horse. Medications and supplements are add as prescribed.
In addition to premium horse care, you will also have full use of our riding and horse care facilities. We offer 2 riding rings, concrete wash racks, cross tied saddling areas, a private locked tack room, and easy access to the 27 miles of carriage roads in the Moses Cone Memorial Park.
We will be happy to accommodate special needs such as basic daily medical care for your horse at a modest additional charge. If your horse should become ill or injured, our vet, Dr. John Lang is in nearby Linville. Our long time farrier, Joe White makes frequent barn visits and is highly responsive in urgent circumstances.
We invite you to come by, visit our facility and meet our staff. Please call us to discuss rate information or for answers to any other questions you may have.
You and your horse are always welcome at the Broyhill Equestrian Preserve
